Silk Creek Farm

Welcome to Silk Creek Farm. We are a small farm in Cottage Grove, Oregon pasture raising alpacas, chickens, and turkeys (and soon a Jersey Cow).

Alpacas are a great livestock to have. They are easy on the pasture, they don’t take a lot of extra care, easy birthers, and have some of the most wonderful fiber you will find. We are focusing on dense crimpy fine fiber of all colors. We have alpacas that range from white to black, and most colors in between. Our Alpaca page is where you can fall in love with these wonderful animals!

Our pasture raised laying chickens have run of our 5 acres. They range daily on bugs and grains they find on our pasture. They are currently laying regularly, and by summer we should have enough layers to fulfill most egg order. We once again will be pasture raising chickens for meat this summer. We will be raising Freedom Rangers, these slower growing chickens have much fewer health problems and will be a much better chicken. Come and see our beautiful flock on the Chicken page.

We’ll also be raising turkeys on pasture this summer as well for Thanksgiving. Be sure to order early, we don’t have many left for this year.  We did not raise any turkeys this year, but watch for us next year, they will be back!
